Finished reading Oscar Wilde - "The picture of Dorian Gray"

Meh - it was ok. Nothing particularly amazing.

Currently reading: The wasp Factory by Iain Banks.... not too impressed. I hate books that try to be interesting by being shocking or gory. There's nothing special about this book.

i've read a couple of books since i last posted in here, but none really worth mentioning.

just picked up "sharpe's trafalgar" by bernard cornwell...again. i'm going to be re-reading a lot of the sharpe books to get into that frame of mind for my writing.

Heh I'm reading through "Life After God" by Coupland... "The Moon and the Sixpence" by Maugham... and miscellaneous security research papers [and other technical dox + philes]

Not nearly enough, I think.

I think some postmodern disillusionment is on order for now:

Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco

and

Simulacra and Simulation (The Body, In Theory: Histories of Cultural Materialism)

The tagline says something along the lines of "the thinking woman's David Foster Wallace." Now, I can't say I agree with that comparison so far, but it's a pretty fun book nonetheless.

just finished company by max barry....a fun quick read although predictable.

i also grabbed breakfast of champions, going to dive into it starting today..im so easily persuaded by the "recommended reads" table at chapters. Also bought the new one by the kite runner guy (i'll butcher his name, but Khaled Husseini? Something like that).
