Free ADSL!
Well I was lost without a net connection and now I somehow convinced the TelASS server to supply me with a valid IP address for free!
Dunno how long this is going to last but at least I can reply to the crazy amounts of emails I have. That is all. Carry on. |

TelASS disconnected my telephone number on August 20th and I wasn't able to get an IP for my router since then. I did forget to save everything on my personal webspace so that got zapped. :(
I got bored today and tried to connect to the website that registers my MAC addess and I got in! Once that happened I tried to grab an IP and after 5 tries I got one. Dunno if this is legal or not but I am a net junkie and I'm getting my fix. Got about over 100 emails to reply to. :p |

lol. i did something similar with shaw for quite a while (few years) before i bought my router, i needed 2 extra IP addresses, so i just spoofed my MAC addresses as ones registered to authenticate with their DHCP servers and tricked them into leasing me ip addresses..

Needless to say I cut some sort of pipe between Vancouver and Calgary and there was a 8 hour downtime. It was sweet. They thought my "Modem malfunctioned" haha. |

I'm telling!
I work for telASS :P (yes, i am the devil) It's possible your port hasn't been disconnected although your dial tone already has been :P ADSL runs through so many systems it sometimes snags, and as well we're always so busy and 'ins' take priority over 'outs' Its no fair that you get free ADSL and mine hasn't worked for months :) |
