The US electoral system is an oligarchy. It's a 2 party system controlled by a small group of people and either way who ever gets elected you pretty much get the same results. Now as it stands I see benifits of getting rid of Bush. It would be a huge blow to the Neo Cons and people like Rumsfeld, Fieth, Wolfowitz, and for that matter even Cheney and Bush. While this might not lead to the US being a lot more ethical with their foriegn policy it would guarentee that something like Iraq wouldn't happen again. On the other side of things I see that a large portion of the progressive movement ranging from environmental groups to the Dean crowd are rallying behind the Democratic party. Basically this is a waste of time. On domestic issues there are some difference's but with foriegn policy both parties are the same. I think that a Kerry win would give a lot of people a false sense of victory. Nothings gonna chnages either way but people will be more pissed off and fired up if Bush and will keep pushing for real changes.
All considered I'd still ather Kerry. I think it would be a huge blow to the US image globally to re-elect such a war monger.
