They were selling them at the door for 200 bux!!!! thats by far the most ive ever seen tickets for at a rave. people were scalping tickets for 300 because they stopped selling tickets at the door for a hour or so.

Heh, I sold mine for $115. And even at that price I felt bad. :(
$200 is ludicrous though. To me that smacks of disrespect by the promoters to the general massive crowd. That's roughly 2.5 times as much as the presales were at their max. That decision alone is making me rethink whether or not I want to attend Solid Corp parties in the future.. Last edited by Canar; Nov 01, 04 at 12:32 PM. |

Honestly, we admit the prices at the door was steep. We sold out like 5 days in advance and we've been encouraging people to buy tickets in advance. Our tickets were at an average price of $55-$60 in advance. Thats like $4/headliner with 15 headliners. You would had been able to find $60 in the fnk classified section like 2 weeks before the show too. We gave people more than enough time to purchase a ticket in advance and told everybody that it would be super expensive at the door since we had very limited door sales.
People were offering us ridiculous #s to purchase a ticket and we still had to turn them away. We only had max 100 door sales and we didn't start selling door sales till 12:30am. The fire marshall counted everybody who walked through the door and we had no choice to charge expensive since our lineup was so expensive and we had to make back our cost. If we were to truly to make $, we would have oversold and we didn't. Our advice to people, if you had supported Dooms Night & Solid Corp in day one when the tickets were out & believed what we had promised - you would had a kickass bargain. SOLID NYE BASH - only 2 months away and plenty of time to buy your advance tickets. cheers, Solid Corp Management Last edited by -STAN-; Nov 01, 04 at 12:45 PM. |

From the sounds of it the fire marshals weren't lenient at all? I remember reading that you guys figured that they may allow up to 6000 people in, when the legal limit was 4700. |
