actually the reason you aren't supposed to drink coffee if you are on a diet to lose weight is because it intensifies cravings
so if you are trying to stay away from sugar and white flour and all that best to stay away from coffee and coke too as hard as it is :/ |

Prob a repeat of what was said already, but so umm yeah. I found a good combo for weight loss was lots of greens, and water, and very little else. This unfortunately also starved my brain of some necessities.
I would say just keep up with a high water intake, and lots of exercise, and perhaps up your intake of green or black tea. I dont believe that 10lbs in a month is alot to lose, but then again everyone is different. Anyways best of luck at your weight loss endeavor |

Organic food wont do anything for your weight. It just isn't srayed w/ chemicals. And trust me, as long as it really is organic, it's much better for you. I could get more into this but don't really feel like it. |

just to clarify its 10lbs of fat mass you want to lose and not 5lbs of fat mass then 5 lbs of muscle mass.
when it comes to exercising you need to focus on staying within your target heart rate where it stays within the fat burning zone. if you exceed the target heart rate in your fat burning zone you will be burning muslce mass and as we all know muslce weighs far more than fat,so in reality youll be burning more muslce mass then fat mass. Thus you will still stay flubby and not nice and toned. Now with that said, saying "i need to lose 10lbs" is setting yourself up for dissappointment simply because when you exercize you do lose fat mass but you also gain muscle mass as well...which weighs more then fat.So come weigh in time you may have dropped 7-10lbs but only your body fat mass calculations will really determine how much of it was fat that you actually lost. Keep this in mind when you go for a consultation with a personal trainer. Also focus on losing inches as opposed to lbs. |

^ I'd be so down for the detox if I had the cash right now!
Kel, last year I lost 15 lbs in a month...w/out exercising except for 100 crunches/day. I went on a clear soup diet for the first week, and after that I cut out almost all carbs, especially empty white carbs, drank only water and apple juice, and ate mostly salad, fruit and flax. I've found a great new source of tons of protein, lots of other vitamins and nutrients, and to top it off, it tastes great: HEMP HEARTS. They taste kinda like a faint peanut butter, and no matter what you put them in they take on the flavour of the other ingredients. ANNNNNND they speed up your metabolism! If you're ever actually, you know, in Richmond, that place where you live, hehe, I will try to hit the gym with you! |

pushing yourself so hard too fast will rebound when you realize later on that it's not realistic for you in the long run and can't manage to live that lifestyle every day for the rest of your life. Then, you might end up gaining more than you lost.
