Well Dj's who spin and produce music I consider as artists and entertainers say just as in the other music performers...Eg. BSB...etc
Dj's like Tiesto..Icey..BabyAnne..BT..PaulVanDyke. .etc Also...Without Dj's where would parties be?? :Kimmie: |

depends on what exactly they do.
The ones who list playlist other people's tracks together (ie playing about 11-15 tracks an hour) are merely providers of music. If they have a really cool stage presence, ie they jump around alot, get really into the music, then you could call them entertainers. The ones who mix other people's music together, like REALLY mix, are more towards the artist side of things, depending on how good their mixes sound. If they use more than 2 turntables (3 or 4 turntables, 2 decks and a sampler, etc) and are real creative with the setup, then more artist points for them. IE dj Flave, I would definetly called an artist. The ones who play their own music, whether it's just playlisting or actual mixing, are definetly artists, cause, well, they produce some of their own music. / \ | | \___ Luke's two cents. |
