I just bought a funky chandelier and put it up in my place yesterday... the pic doesn't do it justice cuz the lights are all smoked glass and look hell of cool when they are the only light source at night!

You'll have to excuse the extra wire... it's for adding/taking length and I haven't decided if the height is right yet!

i hate ikea, with a passion... however, everything in my appartment is from ikea... the sofa, the bed,the dishes... why even this computer desk...

but man... i hate it... always so crowded... always screaming little bastards running aorund... ugh...

As for Ikea. I have a love/hate relationship with it. They have cool looking stuff, yes. But when I buy a set of plates (for example). I'd prefer it if ALL the plates were made in the same country.

i dont like ikea for somethings but i love it for others...i have a few items from there and for ppl who are just moving out it sure makes it easy. yes the place is crowded to the tits always but i for one love the face u can get some many things for ur money. personally i go there for the lamps candles kitchen stuff. bathroom stuff and pictures...very afordable. and easy to find when u get out of the show rooms lol.

Ive actually heard that homeowners insurance doesnt insure ikea stuff over a certin dollar value! But I cant find any poof if its true or not. But I wouldnt be surprised!

The one thing that I get a kick out of though are the amount of people on craigslist trying to sell off Ikea stuff for way more than an average second hand good just because it's from Ikea. I was hunting for a couch a couple weeks ago and ran into about 15 different sellers who were convinced that their Klippan couch was worth $250, don't think so!

My kitchen table and chairs are solid oak and are 20+ years old. They are in perfect shape and will last another 50 years I have no doubt. Rather than buying a bunch of shit at Ikea every 3 or 4 years you should try buying one signature item a year.
