I'd prefer a second date added with JUST Z-Trip. The only reason I didn't get tickets to this show is because of Bassnectar. I'd rather pay 35.00 to see just Z-Trip then pay 35.00 to see them both, considering im not a huge fan of Bassnectar.

In addition, I am quite suprised this is Z-Trips first show in Vancouver this year since hes been to Vic 3 or 4 times so far.

I don't even know where I stand on the subject. I'll just say I've had a lot of fun dancing to his sets, especially at Shambhala where the sound system captured the full effect of his bass heavy tracks.

as z-trip is probably my favorite dj, being forced to sit through bassnectar set in order to finally see him at the commodore would be akin to your favorite band playing a show only to find out that they were going to share the stage with miley cyrus...

it's justa weird combo. i know they played together at shambles, but i also know that the only reason they did was because Lorin refused to get off the decks after his slot until Z played a bit with him.

Again, z is probably one of the best and most skilled Djs in existence and lorin... well i guess he trainwrecks a whole lot less now that he lets ableton mix for him :-\

whatever, bassnectar is obviously doing something right otherwise he wouldn't be as successful as he is - i would just rather not have to watch him do his thing. Keep in mind i've seen lorin maybe 4 times now (twice at shambhala) and my first thought has always been "well, i guess he flings his hair around really well..."

Actually... the system was screwed for about 45 minutes at the beginning of his set, there was no bass (lorin with no bass?!? No way!!) So he couldn't start until well into his scheduled time. So from what I understand, they over lapped a bit so they had an equal amount of time on the decks.
