My ex boyfriend had it. He would tell me that he could use it to travel out of his body. There's a lot of companion research on that when you look it up... when the mind disconnects from the body, it can accomplish things thought not possible..
Who knows, I've never had it. |

I've had it a few times......scared the crap out of me.......just the feeling of being unable to move or talk was insane.......though when ever I had it (which thankfully it is quite rare that I do) my eyes are ussually open and I can see everything just can't move........I must say that it was one of the most terriffiing (sp?) things I've ever felt

Yeah sleep paralysis..
I find it very intresting, there are people who do this nightly or daily to perform a "WILD", Wake Induced Lucid Dream ... If you dont panic and just relax and let it happen, you can wake up inside a dream, and control the dream to do whatever you like. www.dreamviews.com you can read up on it at this website. |

I've had that happen a few times as a child, but i never got the feeling of a "presence". reading that gave me a chill. One time when i was 10 tho as i was getting up i was sitting on my knees on my matress and suddenly i couldn't move my eyes, i was trying to look around but i could only stare at the wall, then my ears sterted ringing and then i passed out. when i woke up i was in the strangest postition because i had been sitting on my knees and then fallen straight backwards so my feet were up by my hips. it scared the shit out of me.

That happens to me all the time, I get stuck in my sleep and its terrifying. There isn't always someone "there" but often if I felt there was a presence they didn't just watch me from a distance. I've felt like I was being sat on, attacked, or... this might sound really wierd but, mollested. The time I felt as if I was attacked I couldn't move, it felt like someone was sitting on my stomache and chest and pulling and rippping at my shirt etc. I finally managed to push out the words "who are you!?" and it stopped. I woke up to my shirt half off and wrapped tightly around my neck. Another time I felt I was being attacked by a male and female presence. I couldn't see either of them but I felt as if the woman was laughing at me while the man was assaulting me.
I've even felt a cat jump up on the bed, heard it meow, and felt the pressure of it walking on the bed towards my body. When I realised what was "going on" it went away and repeated itself. WHAT THE FUCK. It sure as hell isn't fun. Sometimes I see shit too, like the "people" I feel there watching me. Or spiders made of thread crawling towards my face on the pillow. I thought I heard my sisters crying and calling for me one day but I couldn't move :( They were at school at the time. This first happened to me when I was 11 years old when I was sleeping over at my grandmas, not being able to move or talk when you feel you are in danger is one of the most horrifying feelings on earth. |

Unless I know its the boy in bed with me! That reminds me, I find that this happens most when I'm sleeping alone in the morning at my boyfriends house. As for out of body experiences, I've "woken up" a couple times before only realise I felt as if I was floating above my body. I wasn't scared but it did catch me off guard and I seemed to snap back into myself. I'd love to be able to control something like that better, but I"m always caught off guard.
