PRECISE vs. KRAIG - Twisted / AGROculture

These boys are a permanent fixture in the Vancouver Breakbeat scene and collectively have been DJ’ing for over 16 years – Precise’s roots are as a Hip-Hop turntablist having won numerous local competitions such as DJ Soundwars, placing runner up in the DMC’s and ITF DJ battles in the years 97 through 99 and he was invited to compete in the nationals as well. Kraig loves all things funky and has been dropping sets of Breakbeats, soul, funk and vocal House music fused with live percussion all around Vancity at hundreds of clubs and parties, in Alberta and most recently Los Angeles, CA.

Put these two together, and you’ve got a DJ set full of party rockin Funky and Electro Breaks fused with old skool Hip Hop with the elements of turntablism and live percussion added to the mix. Blah Blah Blah, we go through this every year. You know how many parties, club nights, soundtracks, DJ mixes, etc. have the name Trancemission? Alot. We didn't come up with the name. I'm pretty sure Soundproof didn't either. I've read about Trancemissions in Mexico, Portugal, India, Holland, Germany, Brazil, Italy, etc. Just youtube it.

People know the difference between our show and Soundproof's, nobody ever confused the two. They are completely different animals. Their's is an outdoor Summer event in Squamish, ours is an indoor Fall event in Vancouver.

Its a common name. Its a good name. It states what the party is about. It works. Get over it.

Yeah, they've been doing this for 3 years already now. What's more amusing is they've known full well about it for the past 2 years (after all the Soundproofers called them out on it when they first posted) but still refuse to change the name.
