Yeah, the candy kids were a nice touch, Its nice to see it still kinda of alive, and it makes a party intresting. I hope too see everyone at phase one..I'm busting out the candy for a last party (except spooky) that doesnt really count thou. Flip! haha I tried to date rape you, you never knowtised? lolz. Sick sick Djs! Omega image!! I LOVE YOU!! YOU ROCK! lol..groowl! Danny your a wicked guy, and that candy is a wicked turn on! haha..ohh gowd!

i didnt yet get a chance to say thatnk you to every one that helped and came...
thank you eric for helping me throw MY first party, im glad that OUR idea snow balled to such a great small party with a wicked old scool flavor that i havent seen in quite a while... with everything coming to gether we have a great stage with awsome sound... my many tied for first amount of thank yous would goto ERIC for joining me and no-name productions for the benifit of the scene and the party DAN from masterplan productions for bailing us out with suck a bang and helping us figure out what we need and for all of the tips LEXA for designing and doing such increadable decorations and helping out so much with tickets, concession, comunication with security, and seting up and all of the labour alone in the morning putting that place back together YURIY for helping so mych teching and seting up you were the man!!!! BRENDAN for helping from beginning to end even with cleaning... thanks for helping lexa so much putting at all back to original. great labour force and on lexas behalf, thanks for the cd DELIA and MD for doing concession most of the night and taking tickets and doing the whole money thing and with cleanup for a bit JESSICA for the red bull as well as for helping lexa with all of the decorationsand labour with table moving the intire night befre as well as day of, thanks for helping with concession as well... you WILL get your home work one day SINZY for helping so long day before and day or with decorating and doing door shit with delia and md and lexa LEXAS DAD for helping get water from cosco and for the free ride DUSTIN for bringing me burger king PAT SHANE and ROBIN and bald freind for doing such a GREAT job as security and alowing in and outs and doing RE-SURCHES every time you guys... i owe MATT for helping set up and cleaning the boys bathroom(if that was you i dont know i wasnt there) DOUGLAS COLLEGE STUDENT UNION for allowing a RAVE at a COLLEGE!!!! WOW!!! NEW WEST POLICE for not knowing or shutting us down!!! Thanks Cinto & No Name Productions for booking me n Carson.. I had a great time, and it's about time someone booked some Island DJs! I used to play the mainland all the time a long time ago but all of a sudden that stopped, as well as other Island DJs bot getting booked anymore. It needs to happen more often! 'specially when all we do is book Vancouver DJs! Hope you all enjoyed our set.. That was one of my more memorable sets of the Summer for sure.. I LOVE playing on 4 decks! ^ its true he does...and it rocks :D I love it yAy!!! And even though Im a DnB Queen and there has only been like three (?) DnB nites there I always have a super awesome time :D And if you do come over to spin...and you wanna meet me Mykee knows who I am...he should be able to point yea in the right direction :D

OK, it's been a few days to gather my thoughts so here's my review....
Got to the party with Psidream and two of my mates from school at about 11pm and found that all the sets had been pushed back an hour. Fine with us...it's always better to play later on in the night. Hung out on the couches near the pinball machines and people-watched for a while. There weren't very many people there to start with but gradually the room started to get busier. We finally got on stage at about 12.30 after Oliver Nickels & Bass Kicks did their speed garage thing. I thought our set went over pretty good, we tried to play all sorts to keep you guys interested, plus we kept those cd decks busy, pretty much every 2nd tune was unreleased. One question....what is it with me attracting people to yell 'HOLLA!' in my face as i'm in the middle of a mix? Gave me flashbacks of Frisky. The monitor cut out during one of my mixes but came back on when it was Psidreams turn. Played a brand new Titan remix of Spirit's 'Solitaire' which will probably never see a release and the crowd was really into that one. Also 'Malfunction' by Gridlok, another cd, went over really well. Finished up our set with a few funky/vocal tunes from me and then last track went to Psidream who dropped his tune he wrote with Resound from Finland called 'Time goes by'......all girls in the front row going off. All in all we had a wicked time, great sound but we had to crank the mixer to make it decent on the floor. Cheers to Cinto for the spot...hope you guys enjoyed our set as much as we enjoyed playing it. |
