PRAGUE SESSIONS 2008 - PAUL VAN DYK + EXCLUSIVE LIVE BAND PERFORMANCE

On Saturday 20th September, the Prague O2 arena will welcome one of the world most popular Dj and producer, Paul van Dyk, who this time will appear with a completely new concert concept. During his four-hour performance he will present his best-known hits live during an approximately hour-long block accompanied by a three-member band and four vocalists. The greatest hits from his extensive production, such as Time Of Our Lives or tracks from his last album In Between, which Paul van Dyk came to Prague to present last year in September, will also be heard.


Let us see who will appear with Paul in the O2 arena. A trio of musicians, who became famous in various projects and music bands, will take care of the musical accompaniment. The drummer Flo Dauner from the legendary German hip-hop band “Die Fantastischen Vier“, keyboard player Ulf Kleiner and New Zealander Bruce Gainsford, who became famous as the guitarist of the island band Vega 4. The best known of the quartet of vocalists that will appear in the O2 Arena is probably Ashley Tomberlin. Apart from her solo pieces this American vocalist also has cooperation with producers such as Andy Moor or Above & Beyond under her belt. Her current work with Paul van Dyk has given rise to three tracks, which we can find on the album In Between, and which we will be able to hear live in Prague. Another vocalist is Johhn McDaid, an Irish singer who was a member of Vega 4 together with Bruce Gainsford, and whose original vocals gave rise to the piece Time Of Our Lives. Paul will also be accompanied by the Dutch vocalist Josee Hurlock and the American Ryan Merchant.


Paul van Dyk himself uses Serato Scratch Live and Ableton Live technology during his set, when he modifies tracks live on two notebooks and plays a keyboard. As well as the four-hour performance by Paul van Dyk the Czech Michael Burian and German Dj and producer Alex MORPH, who has also worked with Paul on the album In Between will also appear behind the DJ mixer. And finally one of the biggest house stars of today, the German Dj and producer Tocadisco, who created well-known remixes for stars such as New Order, Deep Dish, Pet Shop Boys, Mylo, Enigma, Moby, Axwell, Fat Boy Slim, etc. Everyone has surely heard his remix “The Egg - Walking Away“, used by David Guetta in his hit “Love Don't Let Me Go“, or Citroen in its television advert. His sets are always some of the best of the evening and we believe that they will be again at the O2 arena.


Tickets for PRAGUE SESSIONS 2008 are on sale in the SAZKA TICKET network (www.sazkaticket.cz), and their price will gradually increase to the final 990 CZK.
