Japanese dancehall mix + much, much more
Courtesy of the friendly folks at www.digitalbombing.com
Over the last couple years, Japan has become quite the hotspot for reggae culture worldwide. Word has it that on the right day, you can catch 20,000 reggae fans pack stadiums just to hear *homegrown* nihon vibes! Cats like Skywalker (of Big Cat 'Coppershot' fame), Vader, Takafin, and Kenty Gross are reppin roughneck dancehall pressha hot enough to clash with ANY sound East to West . And while most of these tunes will never make it to our shores, you can always count on N20 to bring you the hot exclusive shit! In that tradition we have a blazin set of Japanese Dancehall from Akaider, who got the joints hand delivered from Tokyo along with the OG nihon sencha. Soundcrash |

If yer ever up late LATE on a Sat nite/ earliest Sunday morn, you can hear all the hot shit too locally on CiTR 101.9FM - REGGAE LINK-UP with host Sister B, currently heard from around 3 AM - 9 AM Sunday mornings, give or take.
Her entire playlist has always been delivered directly from Jamaica including some Japanese plates/ cdr's , and soundclash recordings. She has past on quite a few clash tapes to me over the years, including early Mighty Crown, etc. Japanese clashes are sick. They like it hard. Last edited by **TORMENT**; May 19, 05 at 02:51 PM. |

^^ Hey, for as long as i've been sharing airtime with Sister B.... its amazing the amount of music she recieves, if yer a dancehall fan.. - complete box shipments of the entire vocal presses of any hot riddim on 45, ( i've gotten her doubles on a few occasions : ), or now alot of riddims on cdrs, often before alot of other Canadian dancehall selectors, all music direct from JA like I said. For those who might not know, Sister B has been a consecutive judge for the Reggae Juno award for the past few years too. Hording a huuuuge collection of clash tapes, I'd only imagine, stuff from the 80's, 90's. Its funny, cuz she was still obviously collecting stuff before she even set foot in CiTR.
Like any dancehall slinger, she knows what competition is about, guarding her riddims, and bragging about her show on air, right? Its all expected. So.. to share music? Only if yer close to the campaign. Last edited by **TORMENT**; May 20, 05 at 11:01 PM. |
