Honestly I don't care about the hype surrounding Pete Doherty - the man is a brilliant artist.

the album i have was just okay. i liked it, but it didn't live up to the hype. maybe i need to give it another chance.

Yeah.... I listened to the album a few times and it just didn't hit me like his stuff with The Libertines did.

I enjoyed the album, Doherty is an interesting character.

I remember hearing 'f*ck forever' for the first time and thinking it was interesting.
I downloaded a few songs after I heard that one and I wasn't overly impressed.
My coworker gave me his copy of "Down in Albion" and I listened to it the whole way through and I think that did it for me. I'm definitely sold, but yeah the stuff Doherty does with the Libertines is also really great.
