"The Passion Of The Christ"

I for one can totally not wait to see this. Im usually kinda skeptical about stories involving christ because none of us where there so how can we make a movie about what it was really like and like what Jesus looks like and everything. We all picture him to have this long flowing hair, but in the Old Testament in the Bible God talks about how Men are to have short hair.

There's some talk about Mel Gibson being anti-semetist and that, But i mean i think the death of christ was everyones fault not just one group of people or the next. Jesus played by Jim Caviezel (who is Roman Catholic) and Mary is played by Maia Morgenstern (who is Jewish.)

I say go see it, it's based on Matthew, Mark, Luke and John (which are all different peoples perspectives of the death of christ etc.) Yes there is lots of violence but why sugar coat it.

as for the controversy, not only are the anti semetic aspects an issue but i guess also the fact that people may think mel gibson is "selling out"; rather than saying the death of christ was freeing his spirit and was dying for everyone elses sins, some people may feel that gibson tried to pin down who was really specifically responsible for the crusifixion - the jews.

i haven't seen it yet but i will definetly asap!!

Yah i know what you mean like just because it was the Jesish who killed him doesn't make it their fault it was everyones fault (Mine included) and he died for us, God could have just not let it happen.

not to mention when they talked to his father he said he thought the holocaust was a hoax. wtf is that.

i'm not sure if i'll go see this yet. probably not something i'd pay $14 to watch in the theatre.

i don't agree with those advising children to see this. there are ratings for a reason.
