um, no. When it comes to sound design I'm the shit.
Just venturing into Reaktor, which is going to take a long time to master. Reaktor is very humbling for me.

I don't mean to be a dick.

But you are not the shit. When it comes to anything musical, claiming to be "the shit" is bad news. It means your spending too much time talking about how great you are, rather then getting into the studio and doing the damn job.

It's a huge pet peeve of mine.

No claiming to be the shit is what you have to do. Being considered the best dance producer in the world is nearly impossible. I will always have a day job, and touring on my day job vacations is a very realistic goal of mine.

Once I get a firm understanding of Reaktor, I'm going multi channel surround to get work in the film/gamming industry for sound design.

I am completley self taught, and very proud of the skill I have gained in 8 years of teaching myself.

Here's a quote from Stuart Price (Madonna, Seal) in SOS Feb 08-
"But I think one thing that was able to be proven was that working on your music music in your bedroom as a 16 year old versus working with Madonna or Seal or being on stage in front of 100, 000 people... that gap is not that wide. There's a lot of experience that needs to happen to give you that kind of confidence. But it's NOT like a far-off universe working at that level."

I have the confidence. My last track I did last Christmas got a great responce. My DAW has been down since January, and I finaly got it running %100 yesterday, also switched to Live which has bit of a curve to learn (wtf is that shortcut again? I'm going to buy a sticker set!).

Where's a Ninja boy track?

Just because he doesn't produce doesn't mean he can't be an authority on music.

In fact, he already has more authority than you since he actually works in the music industry.

He's not criticizing your ability, he's criticizing your cockiness. With statements like this, I can kinda see why.

I truley aspire to be the Noel Gallager of dance music. It's fun. If you know me, or talk to me I'm a pretty nice guy, that's really positive about life in general, I can be pretty quik with the tounge somtimes.

what market? 100 tracks on beatport=10 bucks in my pocket. Well there's always the chance I'll have a "Call on Me", and make big bucks.

I do it for the challenge. I want to be known.

It's not a challenge to make electronic music.

You want a challenge? Write a Fugue.

You know all the talent in that family is Liam's, right?

Look, I'm not making statements about who you are or how talented you happen to be. What I'm basing my opinion of you is what your actions are. And if you go around, at the amateur level, implying that you know all there is to know about production, it makes you seem:
1) Presumptive
2) Cocky
3) Elitist
4) Wrong
regardless of how much of any of these traits you have.

If you knew everything there is to know about production, wtf are you doing making tunes in your bedroom? Why aren't you in a pro studio pumping out beats for Jay-Z and Madonna? Or at the very least for small local acts that need producers behind them? What is your day job btw? If it's anything other than "Professional Audio Engineer" then you really don't have the cred to back up statements like the ones you're making.

The Chems hit their peak in 1997. None of their albums sold as big as Dig Your Own Hole. Since you seem to think the only focus in electronic music is being big.

And I thought I made it clear that I don't make rave music anymore.

No the talented one is Noel, he used to write all the songs, but Liam has come miles as a songwriter. Meaning of Soul, Song Bird, Born on a Different Cloud, Love Like a Bomb, Guess God Thinks I'm Abel are all wicked songs that Liam wrote. If Noel lets them on the album they are good enough.

Inside-Electronic. That's the action, more to follow.

Well getting pretty close to being semi-pro. It's near impossible to be full time, but I can dream, and try my hardest.

I'll go with a number 2, but it's really just confidence. If you can back it up, have'r.

We all get our start some where. Daft Punk-Homework, The Streets-Original Pirate Material, Dizzee Rascal-Boy in the Corner.

I'm a dance producer. There is a project in the works to produce a big dj in the international scene very soon.

My engineering has come a long way. I was going off more about sound design with synths, but in the end it's all the same isn't it?

They are still as praticaly as big as it get when it come to dance music. I think only Daft Punk is bigger worldwide.

It is clear, but I was implying that if it's so fucken easy to make dance music, why wouldn't you? If it was easy for me to play in the NHL, I would be there in a heartbeat. You don't make sence.

You don't make sense! All I said was all synths are capable of producing the same harmonic structuring. Your the one who who decided you had to pull out your cock and start comparing it.

And this is my major problem with rave music producers. You think you know everything just because your music sounds good to you, and you can find about 60 people across the world who agree.
