Stocking Vinyl

Ive got crates for my vinyl right now. As they are free to get, lol.

Ive got different crates for different styles (ie: funky house, hard house, breaks, jungle, etc.)

Anyways, Its coming close to getting a second crate for one of the styles. But not quite. What Im wondering is, can you damage vinyl by packing it to much into one crate? Can you damage the grooves or whatever? And I dont mean Im pushing or crunching them in there, but they are getting pretty snug!

well . eventually the covers will get fucked up on the outside records.. but i dont think the grooves will get messed unless they are scratched with edge of other records as you put them in the crate

I pretty sure if they are snug they will be ok. Just as long as I dont cram them into the crate! Im doing a record order soon anyways, and then Ill need another crate and all will fit fine! I just done want to go get one to hold all of maybe 3-5 records! BAH!

why not get build a vinyl shelf? and when you use them just take them out and put them in a crate, and when ur done just put em back on the shelf. im running out of space also, so im getting one built.

as long as you dont scratch or break the vinyl it shoudl be okay.
