Cdj-800
so im going to be in the market for a CDJ soon and think im going to get a CDJ-800. Just wondering if anyone here has used these....
To my understanding the cue function and correction is the same as on the cdj 1000, is that correct? Im basically just looking for something to get me up to par with industry standard... would be nice to get a cdj1000 mk3 but that means its going to take a little longer.. figured id get one 800 now, a mk3 down the road and maybe a second mk3 further down the road.... Does anyone know of any major reasons why one should not get a 800? from what i can tell there isnt much diff between the 800 and the 1000 when it comes to basic functionality..

The cueing and pitch adjusting is exactly the same in both. The pitch ranges differ - the 800 doesn't have +/-6% @ 0.02 accuracy and +/-16% @ 0.5 accuracy ranges (it only has +/-10% @ 0.5 accuracy and WIDE). The 800 also lacks in advanced looping options (who the hell needs those anyway, I still don't know how to use those features on my 1000s) and it also doesn't have a RELEASE/START vinyl speed adjuster. There's no Tempo Reset on the 800 and it doesn't have a Wave zoom function. Everything else is exactly the same though. Although I've found that the 800 also has a less sensitive platter.
If you absolutely can't get the MKIII's, then go for these ones until you can.

hrmm, so the pitch on the 1000s are more acurate..... maybe i will wait a bit longer then...
