whats your budget?
whats your pirmary use going to be (travel,snap shots,outdoors,creative photography)??? are there any specific features or functions that you want to have or would like? ...answer me those and i can advise you to wich camera you should purchase. so long as you buy it from me:)

Canon is the best of the best. You can never go wrong with them. The only other brand to consider, as mentioned by other people, is Nikon. Buy anything else, and you've wasted your money. Depending on budget, either the Powershot (cheaper models) or the Digital ELPH series from Canon are top notch.

i shoot only with canon.
i have a s410 digital eplh and a canon reble slr with a 75-210mm and a 25-55mm lens. but, as ive said...its really depends on what budget you have and what features you want. I sell all models of cameras, in the sub 2oo-28o cat. the sonys do very well cause of the zeiss optics they use. on the other side canon use there digic11 chip wich is excellent. it all depends how much you want to spend,features you want,and what the camera is going to be used for...

I've been looking for a new camera as well and while browsing the Best Buy site today I came across this one.
http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/prodde...est%5Fcookie=1 It's not like high tech or anything but it has Anti Shake which is good if you are out and about taking pictures at like clubs and things. And it's pretty affordable too. Plus it's small and has a nice fairly large sized screen.
