never been a fan of fruity loops. I always thought the pattern arrangement/sequencing was a little too conviluded.

I've been a loyal user of synapse orion platinum almost as long as I've been writing music.

scue will become famous soon enough
I've never been one for FL either.. but then again a lot of people would say the same thing about reason.

a few seperate times I tried to sit down with it and minutes later exited thinking "what the fuck".

I guess the new sequencing window would be a big plus.

+ 1 to that as well. Last FL I used was version 3 years ago, and used it for a few months until I found Reason 2.0 stayed with reason for about 18 months or so and made the jump over to the Logic Audio engine. Never looked back.

That said, for the FL users I've spoke with (pretty established ones too over seas) seem to really dig version 7, but I haven't gotten my hands dirty enough to really comment on it. I should really take a look =)

Running Ableton Live 5.0... love it! I used to use FL Studio 6 which had one or two features I wouldn't mind seeing in Ableton, but overall I realize how much it limited my learning now that I'm on a high-end program.

FL is alright for some samples, but once you discover Cubase SX, well, there's no looking back.
I haven't tried the new FL studio, does it still have those video game noises? hehehehe...
