Ear buds for my iPod (snowboarding)

Does anyone have recommendations for a name brand or style of ear buds that I can take up to the mountain with me? I was thinking of the Shure buds or Skull Candy (leaning towards the shures) but i doubt they're waterproof and I'd hate to see $100 down the drain from a little bit of moisture that's bound to happen.

Anyone else have a set that they'd recommend?

j3rk swares by Shure, I also enjoyed using them on my flight back east in the summer. I would say they are worth the price tag. Shure 'a come with all sorts of crazy caps as well, so you can defiantly find a comfortable fit. Also I think they come with some crazy warranty, so the moisture issue might be replaceable?

I just picked up myself a pair of the Q3's as I hate buds.
Not much relation to this topic as I wouldn't dare take them boarding.

THE BEST QUALITY CHEAPIE IN-EAR BUDS ARE THE CREATIVES, USUALLY 20-40 BUCKS AND THEY SOUND GREAT FOR THE PRICE

IF YOU ARE SPENDING 100+, THE SHURES FIT THE BILL. ID PICK UP A PAIR OF THE CREATIVES AND THEN SEE HOW THEY WEATHER. o

i had a pair of the shure e2cs - they were alright but lacking bottom-end - probably be better off splurging on the e3cs minimum.

I've heard good things about the eytonomic buds and m-audio buds, but i'd be hard-pressed to recommend m-audio anything...

If your going snowboarding I would go for a cheap pair. Like what Rawb suggested. When your snowboarding you don't want to worry about an expensive pair of headphones getting wrecked by the snow or lost.

for cheap, in-ear-canal earbuds, I would recommend the Koss pair. I actually know someone who DJs with them in live situations...

mehhhhh, i disagree with all of you. tho, a little drunk right now.... I'm looking for a set of ear buds that support two full ranges of sound, but challenge the price of $75 or less. like, i don't mind replacing them once through the year. So the investment is really $150 if i can find the right brand. is it out there?

I just recently purchased the SkullCandy Full Metal Jacket ear buds, so far they are great.
The sound quality is very impressive, and they don't have that "I think Ill break these of I sit on them" feel.
I'd would recommend them for sure!
