How easily do they break? Last edited by AtotheK; Jun 07, 08 at 05:08 PM. |

I dunno too much about the 500s, I've never had them myself. I used 300s for a while but those will break after like a year or two. I've seen 500s last longer though.
As for monitors, believe it or not where it's made has a lot of bearing on how good quality it is. Generally stuff from the UK is pretty top notch. Mission and Cambridge are two brands that are pretty decent. |

my 700s would still be good if it were possible to solder a new one on. the Sennheiser HD25 are amazing as every single piece is replaceable and you can order them online |

KRK Systems
Rokit: Page2 Not really the Best, but great entry level monitors the KRK6 has something like -10% bass reduction but the 8's are true 100% |

Don't cheap out on headphones or your monitors.
For headphones go for the Hd25s because you can also use them for djing, and everything is replacible. For Monitors Go for the KRK RP8's, or what I got a bit ago the Yamaha HS80Ms. The Mackie HR824 mkII is really overpriced. All the above monitors have (nearly) full freaquency responce, and have matching subs if you want some more omph. Do not go for anything less then the Rockit 8's. If you got crazy cash going on go for some Genelecs! |

agreed. the only reason I went for the Yamaha's is cause the rockit 8s were not in stock. I am glad that I did get the Yamaha's, the mid range is crazy harsh.
