why waste money... get cdj's.. mp3's cost like 80% cheaper.
if you already made the mistake of getting decks... get serato. another 800$ hole in your pocket but itll save you quite a bit in the end.

Which brings us to: Who always seems to have the latest music before anybody else.
Answer? Vinyl DJs.
Sorry kids, but it's true. One thing I've noticed about every single pure-serato DJ I've seen (Akufen is a different story for different reasons) is that most of their "Bleeding new" tracks they get are actually about three months behind the people who actually go out and buy new vinyls. Only way to really get digital-edge is by getting pre-releases, which is usually tantamount to "this track my buddy made" (hi, yeah, dubplates, whut?).
Exception that proves the rule: Saw Akufen about a month or so ago and asked him about Serato. His answer to my rant ("The internet is seriously about a month behind the DJs") was plain and simple: "I still use vinyl. I just put it all digital when I get it and bring Serato for travelling." Smart one there. Not to mention loses the whole "I'm gonna be all cool and download this 192kbit MP3 and play it out on a MASSIVE soundsystem... NOBODY WILL EVER NOTICE!" (PS: I noticed and it sucks).
Remember kids: Nobody posts about a song on FNK until they heard some DJ play it at the club. If you really want bleeding-edge, you have to go vinyl.
