WTB: Pioneer CDJ-800 or CDJ-1000
Hey all
I picked up a CDJ-800 and man, is it addictive! I need to pick up another 800 or 1000. Willing to pay $5-600 for an 800 or $7-800 for a 1000. I've seen them on craigslist seattle for $400-450USD but i'd like to avoid having to drive down. If you have 2 CDJ 1000's i'll take them both off you, cheers! Greg |

Dave
I frequently see CDJ's on craigslist (seattle) for $400-450USD and 1000's for $6-700 so the deals are out there, it's just a matter of being in the right place at the right time! Greg |

This would probly be the reason for Greg finding them on Craigs list for a decent price. It wont be long untill the CDJ market goes down. |

^ that could be true
but CDJs do have lots of good features that serato doesn't have....like looping, cue points/multiple cue points, reverse, and the wonderful jog wheel. it just depends on what you want, or what you mix i guess personally the only thing I like about serato is being able to have a massive library.....but serato could be used with CDJs for that purpose too....i mostly mix house though.....if i did hip hop I would probly use serato just cuz it seems easier for mixing hip hop quickly and scratching is a bit more authentic (though CDJs are actually quite good for it) |

Actually Serato has all the features you listed except the jog wheel in which case you have to resort to the turntable. Turntable??? wait you mean the thing that a jog wheel is trying to emulate??? Fuck jog wheels! |
