WTB: Pioneer CDJ-800 or CDJ-1000

Hey all

I picked up a CDJ-800 and man, is it addictive! I need to pick up another 800 or 1000. Willing to pay $5-600 for an 800 or $7-800 for a 1000. I've seen them on craigslist seattle for $400-450USD but i'd like to avoid having to drive down. If you have 2 CDJ 1000's i'll take them both off you, cheers!

Greg

Dude... wait till you try the CDJ 1000 MKIII's -- fully MP3 compatible. You could show up to a gig with two CD's loaded with an MP3 data CD and baam! You're in business.

Ya i know they're money, but i like just having 1 or 2 tracks on a CD, easier to keep track of that way ;)

I dunno if you'll be able to find any that cheap.....its hard to find someone who's had them long enough or used them enough to have their price dropped that much

and ive got CDJ800 MK2s and theyre MP3 compatible....it's pretty nice

Dave

I frequently see CDJ's on craigslist (seattle) for $400-450USD and 1000's for $6-700 so the deals are out there, it's just a matter of being in the right place at the right time!

This would probly be the reason for Greg finding them on Craigs list for a decent price. It wont be long untill the CDJ market goes down.

^ that could be true

but CDJs do have lots of good features that serato doesn't have....like looping, cue points/multiple cue points, reverse, and the wonderful jog wheel. it just depends on what you want, or what you mix i guess

personally the only thing I like about serato is being able to have a massive library.....but serato could be used with CDJs for that purpose too....i mostly mix house though.....if i did hip hop I would probly use serato just cuz it seems easier for mixing hip hop quickly and scratching is a bit more authentic (though CDJs are actually quite good for it)

Actually Serato has all the features you listed except the jog wheel in which case you have to resort to the turntable. Turntable??? wait you mean the thing that a jog wheel is trying to emulate??? Fuck jog wheels!
