Not too picky about effects. Not willing to pay any more than $500 and it should be solid quality - I don't care if it's old as long as it's sturdy. Preferable something with its own power supply (i.e. will plug in using a standard computer power cable).

i'd say try to find a used Empath. Will probably cost a bit more than $500, but worth every penny...

Only catch is that the unit is from Asia so it is 220v (round pin plug as well), but you can fix that easily by getting a voltage converter at radio shack.

This is my #1 problem with Vestax: Power supplies. Why can't they bloody well just integrate them on the mixer? I have a perfectly feasible Vestax mixer sitting on my floor right now but I can't use it because 15V power supplies just plain don't exist.

Soo: Empath would be nice, but unfortunately I'm on a budget.
