Service for your TECHNICS SL1200 MK2
Hi!
this is my first post, so hello everybody. A friend of mine told me about these pages and suggested I post here as well, so here it goes: I am offering a complete service for your trusty Technics 1200 turntable. This great piece of machinery is almost indestructible, however, it needs to be taken care of every now and then- especially if you take them out to parties a lot. I can do the following things: - recalibrating the pitchfader ZERO position (sometimes it is off and you have two ZERO positions, very annoying!) - recalibrating the pitchfader gain to factory specs (so +6% is where it should be; if you have two turntables I will match them as a pair) - recalibrating the brake to factory specs (you did know that there is a motor brake in there, didn't you?) - taking out the "center click" of the pitchfader so it behaves like a M3D - replacing power and/or audio cords with QUALITY CABLE and GOLD PLATED PLUGS (flakey connection to your mixer? you need a replacement!) - replacing the burned out lamp in the pop-up light with a LED (which simply CAN'T burn out - has an average lifespan of ~30.000 hours!) - replacing ALL LED's (including strobe) with a color of your choice (green, blue, yellow, orange, white, red) - replacement of tonearm, mainboard etc possible, but takes a little longer since i have to order replacement parts first (I dont stockpile on spare parts yet since I just arrived to Canada) Contact me via email and tell me what you would like to have me do to your turntable(s) and I'll tell you what I want from you :) I am very reasonably priced... I live in Vancouvers Broadway/Oak area, you'll have to bring the turntable to my place. I have been doing this in Germany for years, so I have plenty of experience. All the people loved what I did to their turntables! thanks for your interest, chris |

Ok guys - here's the scoop.
Chris is a super chill guy who definately knows what he's doing with electronics. I'm having my techs cleaned and serviced, and i'm adding some blue LED's where all the lights currently are. I'll post pictures when i get em back - TOMORROW - pimp out yer techs. super fast turn-around. Big up ChrisK (Cabsha) |
