From what I have found, people who bad mouth berhinger equipment (especially in buy/sell posts) are the type of people who lack skills, and would rather talk about then equipment then shut up and learn how to use it.

Some of the behringer components that came out in the past have had spotty to good reception with people in the professional audio community, but where else can you get a MOTORIZED MIDI controller for <$200. Sure - if you use it everyday, take it on the road, and put lots of wear and tear out of it, it's not going to work the same way as it did on day one - but thats the price you paid. So then you upgrade up to something that suits your needs and your financial constraints.

I actually think the BC(D/F/R) series are some of the nicest MIDI controllers around for the price - miles ahead in quality, construction and features than other products in the same price range (evolution/m-audio etc). I guess Behringer can't be that bad if Daft Punk use them.

anyways, one mans shit is another mans sugar. new these are $299 CAD - still available. mint condition.

The person who told me to be leery of this brand was someone who runs an audio equipment repair business.

Having played several instruments for many years, recording, and working in radio. I have a feeling I know what I'm talking about.

Anybody who denies the price vs performance aspect that berhinger excels at doesn't know what they are talking about...

Price, does not always equal performance.

don't shoot the messenger. Like I said, I wasn't sharing my personal opinion; I was sharing the observations of someone who makes pretty decent cash doing repairs on behringer merchandise.
