if i were you, i wouldn't start with techs right away.
i would get some belt drives from some pawn shop or something. because 1. they're a HELL of a lot cheaper (if not free) and a lot of the time, people just get tired of spinning for whatever reason, and if you get belt drives, you never ended up spending a lot of money on tables. 2. if you learn on techs, you'll be just like all the other dj's. if you learn on belt drives, that means you will have a LOT more patience, if you can keep 2 records beatmatched on belt drives, it will be SO easy when you start to play on techs. and you will be a lot better than any other dj that's been spinning for as long as you (if not longer). hope that helped :) |

my gems have lasted longer than some people's techs.
I've had them for 4 years. Not one problem with torque. digital pitch 33,45,78 10 -/+ reverse mode you can score a pt2400 for $500 maybe less I paid $550 for them 4 years ago I spin everything under the sun with these things and they're amazing. |

you will learn alot better with technics. I see so many kids get discouraged when they play with belt drive tables b/c it seems so hard. It is fucking hard and it doesnt make any sense to play on them. Belt driven ttables are just a money grab for numark stanton gemeni. Keep it real!

if it doesnt include records here's what id recommend
2 tech 12's mk2's or m3d's doesnt matter (turntables) 2 shure m44-7's (needles) a vextax pmc pro 5 or 7 and whatever headphones you want.......if you have money left over if u want to save some of that money get used tech 12's aslong as they work properly should be able to find a pair anywhere from 700-1200 numark mixer......altho the fader will be the first thing to go and the same needles. altho everyone likes different set ups, best idea would be to go tom lees or somin and try different things out to see what you like |

If your looking for bran newequi[ment... either Tom Lee or I got my gear for a deal at Master Plan. -2X tech 12's MK'2 -Vestex Pro 6 mixer -2X stanton "craze" needles (good for scratching) -some wires/t-shirt etc I beilve it came to $2500 with tax? This was like 3 years ago too... BTW: If your intrested Ive been meaning to sell my mixer? Its perfect for a beginer hip hop/breaks DJ... ive recently change my style to house so im looking for somthing a bit diffrent and more complicated. |

i looked for a pair of techs forever and ever and my word of advice is to be patient, cuz ppl are always selling their tables....and some ppl would sell them at a ridiculously good deal. take someone who knows how to test out the decks and go from seller to seller..compare, decide then buy. i think my main reason about choosing techs over any other brand is that they are the most trusted decks (good reviews), most djs use techs when they play out.. and the resale value is pretty high.. not that i was plannin to sell them...u get the point.
i got my used mk2s for 1100 includes a pair of needles, craze needles with cartridge/stylus all togehter package for like 90 bucks, bought the stanton sk6f off my friend for a 100, and the silver technic headphones for i thinkkk 150. im not a rich kiddo, but i knew i wanted something basic and affordable. if i could go back.. i think i would wanna lease to own a mixer from tom lee/music store. that doesnt make any sense. saving money by buying shitty tables is not a good thing because you can sell techs for the same price you bought them for. try buying anything less then a vestax, technic, or numark new, and then flip it in 6 months and see what kind of price you get back. i betcha it will be 50% less at least. |

and it seems like nobody read my first post, if u learn on shitty tables, you will become a better dj in the long run. and to those of you that don't believe that: obviously you learned on techs so u dont even know what its like learning on shit tables |
