You sound just like every other person who went against the grain and didn't buy an ipod. You probably run 3 different variants of linux as well.
The average person doesn't need nor do they care about another audio format, what they care about is sturdy design, ease of use and softare integration. IE Itunes with the ipod, that is why the ipod has done so well eventhough it has less features than the rest of the competition out there. I wish someone else would produce something else worth buying for the average consumer but instead companies like Creative are going to go under trying to sue Apple instead of trying to innovate. I'm not saying that the iPod is a bad mp3player, I just think you get more for your money if you buy an iAudio. That's all. (btw, for me, OGG support is essential) And yeah, I really don't like the design. I just don't. But I agree with you - the competition should come up with something better than just this! o.O Last edited by anewlife; Jun 13, 06 at 01:37 PM. |

i use to be an ipod hater till the video came out.. now I don't know what I would do without it. The design is slick and highly functional. Apple does that..
I don't know if you get more for your money, it's kind of like having a VISA, you can get ipod shit everywhere.. videos download right off google video as .mp4, the itunes store integrates it right into the ipod.. they thought of how to make it seamless, and very little hassle to do common tasks, that's Mac for you. Good price if still in the box, plenty at $300 brand new, sealed.. I got mine for $280 brand new, in box from craigslist. |
