where to buy CDJs?
does anyone know a good place to buy CDJ's? I'm looking to buy Pioneer CDJ-800's.
Since I can't find any used ones I'm probly just gonna buy new ones.....are there any stores in Vancouver or online that anyone knows of from experience? I looked at Tom Lee but they didnt have any in, and I heard their prices might not be the best. |

Tom Lee & L&M do not have any cdjs in stock since they are waiting for the newer MK2 & Mk3 version of the CDJ800 & CDJ1000.
If you buy the new cdjs from L&M they might be able to loan you an older model from their rental pool until the new ones come in. Thats what I'm doing. |

When I bought mine I looked at buying them from a local Victoria shop (I lived in Victoria at the time), from a few ebay wholesellers, and from an Ontario based company called Acclaim Audio. After taxes etc the pair from the local shop ran me about $1900, a pair from ebay after conversion/shipping/duty ran in the $1200-$1400 range, and the pair from Acclaim after taxes/shipping cost $1600. The one thing that rang true for the ebay sellers and Acclaim was that there is a 2-3 month waiting period for the 800's. So, if you are willing to wait a couple months it's definitly worth it to get your gear off of ebay in order to save a good chunk of cash. If you're one of those people who gets sketched out by ebay then Acclaim Audio is a good bet. If, however, you're like me and don't want to wait for a few months to get the gear then hit a local shop that has some in stock.
Good Luck! |
