The FnK Story: Pt.1 "The Beginning"
It all started three years ago in the summer of 2000. The Vancouver scene was rolling at an all time high with more and more young impressionable teens who were drawn to these all night dance parties called Raves. I was one of them. For most who first start to rave know that if you don't have any direct friends who are into raves, then it’s not a simple task to find out where and when their happening. I had heard about a website called LoungeX.com from a friend and immediately I myself in the middle of Vancouver’s largest rave/electronic community. I then lurked onto TeamHardCore.com and soon attended my first rave (Ravers of the lost Ark, a small ghetto party at the Maritime eVan). One day as I browsed over new posts on loungex, I was caught by a free CD giveaway posted by one DJ_Form (guess where this is going). He was offering his first new demo CD with newly acquired partner DJ Kaos. (At the time the best electronic music I had on my computer was whatever Napster had brought up when I typed "rave" or "trance") After a few volleys between Form and I, we were surprised to find we lived no more then few blocks apart and basically right up the same street in New West. Days later met up on tenth and a friendship had begun.
    August 4th, Apex 2000 would be the official start to the FnK legacy. I had been chatting with a guy off loungex for seats to the party, "Ed" who proved to be one of the nicest ravers I have ever had the pleasure to meet. This Apex was to be my third rave and defiantly one of the best (the night before was Transparent at the Plaza, which was opaque in fun). There at my first outdoor, spinning out the back of the Cyclops u-haul trailer was non other then Form and Kaos. Between the introductions, boxing the mini van, and sick tunes, Form and I discussed and mapped out plans for their personal website Form-Kaos.com. Apex has since proved to be a pinnacle party for us, and who we are. Each year since 2000 we have stepped up from the u-haul to G-House's stage 2001, FnK Brand Beats 2002, and the banging double stage at Apex 2003. Each year rocking Apex harder, louder, and making our presence well known.    As the summer of 2000 came to an end, Form-Kaos.com was up and in early stages as a small flash site. Months went by and we soon adapted to meet needs of our friends by losing the flash website and yes, starting a message board. This would be the start of FnK version two. At first it was only a handful of close friends chatting and burning time at their computer. Slowly over the year it grew from ten members to fifty. I can remember sitting with Form getting a burger from a favorite dig, Burger Haven (ironically also on tenth, the same street in New West). As we ate, we joked and laughed at the idea of someday cracking the five hundred member mark. Browsing the web one day, I had found some new message board software and wished to upgrade to better our sites future. This would result in the first monstrous crash. Everything we had built was completely lost, all posts, forums, and members on database. Good job snyx, anymore great ideas?! So I sat down and started again on version three with a fresh canvas. To our surprise we regained a strong number of members back after the crash to reset us on course. Over 2001 we gained our fan base, first rocking a hundred registered members then on our way to half a g-note. Interests in our little website began peak through the cracks in the Vancouver scene, this was something more than we first thought. FnK had starting again, this time as a fun alternative to other message boards. The name Form-Kaos.com had begun popping up on loungex and a newly created XTCity.com (now known as ElectronicDynasty.com, but that's another story). We has successfully started to build our fan base with the best tool, our members. Although only a couple hundred in size each member began to refer their friends and family (yeah, there have been a few). For the first time we had our tight community feel that was going to take us strong into the next year.    2002 would prove that FnK was here to stay. LoungeX had been struggling to keep up with their large traffic demands. Then one day to the shock of everyone in the Vancouver scene, shut down. Now there were two, Form-Kaos.com and the ever-growing Ed. Midyear 2002 FnK decided to expand once again and upgarde into version four. Shortly after the upgarde would trigger the second drastic crash. This resulted in the loss of thousands of posts, many users, and archives of pictures lost into the site forever. It had definitely crippled (but not put out) our website. We stepped back from the gameboard and fully thought out our next move. Toss out version four, then just move right along to five. Backup, reinstall, and redesign to meet the needs of our newly popular website. Version five held strong with newly added; karma system, photo gallery, calendar, and many other features. Apex 2002 was nearing with large scale plans brewing for FnK, our first Apex stage. Dedicated primarily to rocking this party to shiite.. oh and rock it we did. Competing with both Twisted stages, FnK managed to not only contend but show we were a definite factor in this Vancouver scene. Apex 2002 was not only one of the best memories in our time, but also gave us the incentive to take it up a notch. Form-Kaos.com was destain for more then just a small raver community, but dreams of the premier website in the Vancouver scene.. To be continued..

Thats it!! Please excuse my gammer and scattered thoughts. My minimum highschool education serves only so well, so be nice. Also there is just so much to be told, I have only skimmed on the real story. Part two will be a much better look into the steps we have taken to get this far. Plus the people who have made it all possible.
Pt.2 "To infiniti and beyond.." ;) Coming soon.. Part two will better cover the great moments we have had here at FnK. With detail into what we hope to establish in years to come, FnK and the media, plus who the inside crew really is. Aside from the orginal story, part two will include more information into what helped build FnK from behind the scenes. The friends, good times, and much more. Look for it near end of the summer.

Apex 2000. Remember how you got to the party? This is Ed yo!!!!! the guy who hooked u up with the "stuff" and the ride to apex.. My oh my, shit dude, 3 yrs later i stumble on this site and for some reason, i fondly remember that night at apex. You had a buddy there too, i forgot his name, but he was pretty chill. I remember you brought the tent, and then it ended up getting trashed somehow. I have random pics of that party including a couple of you and your friend lying around somewhere.... i'll dig them up.. I havent partied since oct 30 2000.. i know, its been a while hehe, maybe i'll jumpstart myself back in?!?!?! who knows.. Nice story by the way, and it was definitely a pleasure getting to know you from LoungeX, and then Apex.. that party was pretty good.. from what i remember from 3 yrs back. hahaha anyway, leave me a msg on the board if u read this yo.. peace brotha, ed

i love ravers man...everyone iz so tight..and open to everything...the town where i grow up(aldergrove) iz so stuck up and shit.....ravers="the shit".... thats sone good readings man....yu guys have werked hard and it seems like yu guys are still progressing.......good reading and fun to klnow....thanx guys fot FORM_KAOS.com....i love it... peace
