As for the original question, just the pill. J'netter...you should just go to a free clinic. It's usually just female doctors that work there, I understand where you're coming from, I have issues with talking to a male doctor about female things! |

yes, they may be professionals (and that doesn't automatically mean they aren't perverts :P) but sometimes it's just easier to talk to another female about it.
i know i wouldn't wanna go in to talk to a male about that kinda thing. i would just feel uncomfortable. (which is why i go to a clinic, rather than my family doctor. he's cool and all, but no.) and some girls don't care, which is why you can have a preference as to a male or female doctor. :P bcp isn't that bad. it's not that much of a hassle taking a pill everyday. it's not like they're horsepills or something, they're tiny. you can take em even without water. i wouldn't mind trying the shot though.. |

^^actually.. I can totaly prove you wrong on that on personal experience. I had a doctor thats wasn't exactly the nicest guy.. let alone he fucked around iwth my family a lot. and I hold him personaly resposible for the death of my grandpa! But I rather not get into it though.
As for my doctor now, he's cool he just looks like Jerry Springers twin or something.*shivers* But he told me for when I go in for a check up.. I would get checked out for all that stuff.. or maybe he just likes to be more careful ro soemthing I dont know. Natalie, I'm gonna check out one of those clinics... asap though.. all the ones we have in maple ridge are females.. Dude we have a drive in clinic out here too! but all males.. :\ |

Thats really disapointing, knowing that doctors are not being doctors and all. Really dumb.
My doctor is a female. For those girls that are interested. Her name is Dr. Neuman. Located by broadway station. At the Medical clinic center/building |

My doctor (a female) is cool too! I switched to her away from my family doctor because when I mentioned to him that I was interested in going on birth control he told me "I don't agree with giving birth control to unmarried women. Unmarried women shouldn't be having sex."
HAH. so I switched doctors that day. |

I'm on the Depo shot right now, but i've been bleeding to death for the past two months, so i'm switching over to the pill again. My doctor sais the shot just isn't for me. =( It sucks, because apart from the excessive bleeding, I think it works pretty well--No weight gain.
At any rate, my doctor also sais that with perfect use, the pill should be as effective (if not more) than the Depo shot, because of the estrogen. If you're being monogamous, all you should need is the pill (with proper use) or the Depo. |

No no no no no! He's NOT allowed to say stuff like that. Ugh, that's so horrible Desi. If I were you I totally would have called and filed a complaint with the union or whatever his superior is! ICK. |

my gf and i both dislike condoms....it feels ok but its nothing compared to plunging in a warm moistened love cave....sooooo much better...we both agree....
she was on the pill but then went off and so i had to purchase many jackets for the coming rainy season....almost out now...and she jus started her rag and is going to be purchasing the depo shot....shes worried about the weight gain considering shes already been putting on weight...also shes freaked about the constant bleeding..... i wasn't aware though that a possible side effect was NO BLEEDING entirely....sounds good to me.....less messy...hehe...not that i give a shit...my sheets jus get cleaned more frequently.....muhahahaha.... corrie |

Once I went to the clinic near my house to ask about birth control (my family doctor is in delta so I didnt feel like going all the way out there). The guy was looking me up and down from the second he walked in. Then he insisted constantly that he perform the pap smear.. I thought that was really wierd, I reported it but i dont know if anything happened. And des, doctors should not, and CAN not bring their religion or opinions into someones health and sex life. You SHOULD report that, what happens if some young and possibly stupid/naive girl is not able to get birth control because of him and she gets pregnant? Yes its her fault but doctors are supposed to help, whether or not the girls hould be having sex she is and if a person asks for birth control pills they should get them. His/her religion or opinion has NOTHING to do with it. |
