if you don't want to have to worry about taking the pill every day at the same time you can always try the depo-provera injection. you get a shot, in which they inject 1mL of stuff into your arm once every three months, its cheaper than the pill, you don't have to worry about taking a pill every day, and it makes your period stop.

a shot in my arm once every 3 months? do ppl actually do that?
i'm not really afraid of needles, just that the fact of a shot to stop my period is kinda weird. taking the pill everyday isnt really that bad i think. thanks glenda for the advice. and i hope it is the same with you too.....hey btw, hows mikey? =P |

^^^^ its not 'a shot to stop your period'. its a shot of birth control. either way whatever you decide i would ask your doc for info on all types of bc, which i'm sure they will give u anyways when u either get your prescription or just get a sample....

I had the shot, at first it was great!! I didn't have to take a pill everyday, the birthcontrol was just there. But after the first month.... it got bad! I had spotting for the next 2 months, my period never went away, so I went back on birth control till almost a year later when I forgot to take it a few days in a row... then I had to start all over again. I don't mind the pill, i've been on it for 2 years (minus the 3 months with the shot). Its become a habit. It regulates my period, cuts down on all the shit that comes along with my period (craps etc.) And it stops me from having mini mes. Its good to be on it even if you're not having sex bc it does help with the monthly visiter. Hope that helps.

all I was saying was that if breast size increase DOES occur, it's not always necessarily the pills causing it, but most likely weight gain (perhaps due to increased intake of sodium or because a girl just eats a lot more than before). --Joanne :P |

^^^ yah bc (specially depo) makes u wanna eat more, so if u choose to eat healthy u won't gain much weight, if any, but if u eat junk food n stuff, which most ppl do, then the obvious will happen. also bc (specially depo) can make u tired more than usual...which makes u less motivated to go n werk out n stuff....

Wow, I actually can apply the shit that i've learned in university. eg., when i was on the depo shot, my boobs actually shrunk. this was due to the fact that the depo shot doesn't have any estrogen in it. however, when i switched to the pill, MY BOOBS ARE GETTING HUGE. =P No weight gain, either. |
