^Ebay.
There are lots of stores that sell brand new merchandise through ebay, and alot of it is pretty reasonable (like as little as $24 USD for a corset). IE: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=11522 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...category=11522 ebay.ca will convert to Canadian funds, and just search for "corset _" (the "_" being which size you'd need). You'll need to weed through the shit and find the good stuff, but it's worth it. And if you're just buying not selling, I don't think you even need a credit card (don't quote me on that). |

I agree with you, it's definately not an everyday thing but I almost wish it was sometime. A classy, (LOADED) woman like Dita probably always wears the complete get up *siigh* that's so fancy *giggles*. And Maryah basically summed up the corset/figure training. YOu basically wear the corset every day and progressively tighten it. Models like Dita von teese and Masuimi Max have aprox 16 inch waists when corsetted, and without a corset there waist is still a few inches smaller than it naturally would be. The probably did tighltlacing though, which is way more extreme and the goal is to acheive the smallest waist possible. Such as wasp corsets etc. I'm not going to go anywhere near that extreme, I actually don't find a waist that small, attractive. I just desire a more hourglass figure, nothing that shifts my internal organs too much! WHAT IS "WAIST TRAINING" & "TIGHTLACING"? Proper "Waist training" is a practice whereas one can gradually achieve realistic, non-harmful waist reduction or waist shaping by moderately lacing and wearing a corset on a regular basis. This is achieved by going slowly with the appropriate instruction from a corset training expert. Tip: One should not try to lace the corset closed, or even very tightly on the first several wearings, due to the fact that new corsets need "breaking in time". After a short period of time, they mold to your body shape and the material takes the strain of waist reduction evenly. Placing too much pressure on the corset at the outset may damage the fabric and stitching. In addition, it may cause you discomfort and a negative feeling toward your beautiful new garment. "Tightlacing" is the practice of applying corsetry to its extreme to achieve the smallest possible waist. A tight-lacer typically wears their corset night and day, and consistently pulls the laces tighter. When a tight-lacer achieves a 2-4 inch reduction, they graduate to a smaller corset to continue their figure training until they reach their "ultimate waist". Tightlacing has been controversial whereas many believe it to be potentially harmful to the body. However, it can be practiced safely and effectively if done responsibly. To prevent any damage to one's body and corset, the novice corsetee should first research and consult with a tightlacing expert before engaging in any tightlacing or waist training program. |

Jenna--have you made many outfits? Do you have any pics to show of the outfits you've made? How much would one cost to make?
as for lingerie, I loooove boy cut undies. They're so comfy AND they make bums look good! well, most bums. with either a white tank, or a bra with a bit of padding in it (la senza doesn't have any right now:(. Just stupid air pocket bras). I looove the little sexy boycut shorts and tiny tanktop sets they have at la senza...just waiting for the pink or blue leopard print set to go on sale right now. So for everyday underthingies, I'll wear boy cut undies or thongs/gs...from wherever I find cute ones--we tend to have cute ones at the place I work (saan--only 3 for $9.99 or 3 for $12.99!!). As for corsets, garters, stockings etc...of course I would wear them...haven't had the chance, but my time will come. |

I haven't made many pvc outfits yet, I haven't had the time or money to do so. However I have been doing other sewing. I posted a couple pictures in chainboys post about his chain-maile stuff of the corset type top I made, gloves and skirt.
Cost would all depend on the outfit, the fabric, and the time it would take to make it. What do you have in mind? if you had some more specific info like a full fantasy outfit in pvc would be quite expensive, BUT I only charge for fabric/notions and I'm not going to rip people off for labour costs. If you were going to buy one in a store you'd be looking at AT LEAST 100-150 and up, way up sometimes. if you just wanted a corset like top it would deffinately be under 100. I could give you a way better estimate if you could tell me what type of outfit or garment, and the type of fabric. Everything I've made has been personal so I really can't tell you what I'd charge someone off the top of my head. |

can anyone suggest a place that sells nurses' outfits? I'm not talking about the scrubs. I mean, something along the lines of this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...&category=4844 I don't want to buy it off ebay though in case it doesn't fit me properly and I wouldn't be able to return it.. --Joanne :P |

Nurse_ratchet, I was going to ask you if you had the outfit hahaa. I could make you one if you'd like.
And Joanne, i can also make you one, but it depends on when you want/need it. And it will be sure to fit you because I can measuer you myself and make any adjustments after the outfit is complete. But if you want something quick, even though it will cost more, go to http://www.bodyperve.com/resource/re...ml#Anchor-8172 and thee should be a bunch of stores there. I'm not sure if they are on there, but there are a couple places on Davie street that have a bunch of fetish outfits. I'm guessing these are the two: 1069 Davie St. (604) 681-7024 1151 Davie St. (604) 681-7024(edit: the names are ultra love, and love's touch) Last edited by MistressSpankME; Jul 31, 03 at 01:36 PM. |
