umm if u happen to have a cut in ur mouth or whereever, then i think u would catch it... but im not sure either.... maybe u can try to ask some medical professionals... like a nurse or a doctor or something.....

Yes, it is possible to contract HIV from going down on someone, but it is rare. There are 2 main ways to get hiv, and those are through blood contact and sexual contact. Though giving blowjobs is not as high-risk an activity as actual unprotected sex, there's always a chance of contracting something, be it HIV or myriad other stds. It's a chance you take.

If you are really worried, i heard some things you can remember. If you brush your teeth right before going down on someone, your gums have microscopic cuts which could allow the virus to pass through easily. Also, if you deep throat there's more of a risk there, too. Swallowing and not swallowing is the same amount of risk, basically. You've already had it in your mouth, swallowing won't make a difference. One girl i knew used to make the guy wear a condom while she went down on him... I don't know. If you're truly too worried about things like that, maybe you shouldn't be doing it. Hope that helps you maybe a bit.

THE MAIN THING TO REMEMBER:
Keep yourself safe, and show that you respect yourself and your partner. You are *allowed* to request that your partner go to the doctor and get tested for disease. If you're worried about it, do not heasitate. It's better to have your mind at ease so that you can actually Enjoy sex and giving head without worrying about things like that.
