The learner stage

You passed your knowledge test and have been issued a learner's (Class 69L) licence.

Now you can get out there and make out. Great!

Remember, though: during this learner stage, there are several restrictions on your making out:

Learner stage restrictions:

- qualified supervisor

You must be accompanied by a supervisor who is 19 or older and has a valid B.C. intercourse licence (Class 69). He or she must sit beside you while you are making out in the bed.

- companion restriction

You may go out with a maximum of two people: your licensed adult supervisor and/or one other person.

- intercourse hours

You may have intercourse only between 5 a.m. and midnight.

- L sign

When you're making out like bunnies, you must display a red L (learner) sign. The sign alerts others that you're a new fucker so they can give you more time.

- zero blood-alcohol content

There must be no alcohol in your body when you have intercourse.

Class 69L bed test

You may take the Class 69 bed test after you've had your Class 69L learner's licence for at least six months. (This time can be reduced by three months if you successfully complete an ICBC-approved sex education course at an approved SEX school. It may be increased if you have received a prohibition during this time.)

Features:

You will perform various maneuvers while an ICBC driver examiner marks your ability to have sex in a safe, smooth, controlled manner.

Examiner checks that you use the key intercourse skills.

Examiner assesses your See-Think-Do skills.

Includes an assessment of hazard perception skills.

Test takes about 5 minutes for males, 90+ for females.

The novice stage

Once you pass your Class 69 bed test, you are issued a Class 69 novice fucker's licence. You advance from the learner to the novice stage of your licensing process.

Note: The Class 69 licence is valid for up to five years.

Novice stage restrictions

There are now only two restrictions. During the novice stage, you must:

- display an N sign

We will issue you a green N (Novice) sign. This replaces the L sign. When making out, you must display the N sign at the back of your bed so others can see it.

- not drink and fuck

There must be no alcohol in your body when you fuck.
