Absinthe
Tried this for the first time when I was in Prague. The stuff tastes SO nasty! They dipped a spoonful of sugar in the absinthe and lit it on fire, and the melted sugar dripped into the absinthe and lit that on fire. Supposedly the absinthe itself is 75 proof, but once it's lit on fire, it becomes 90. I was already so drunk by the time I had the two absinthe shots but they definitely put me way over the top.
Looking for a good tasting shot? Go for a china white. Looking to get tanked badly? Absinthe will be your best friend. You can't get the real stuff in North America though. |

actually its legal in almost every country in europe, as of the formation of the union.
and with north america, it is illegal to sell, but not import. i drink the stuff quite a bit, and i just order bottles from the czech repub, and from france. after shipping and everything, its about 85 bucks a bottle. a bottle will last the normal person a long time. and it doesn't make you drunk, its a form of blood poison, the wormwood that is. |

my buddy ordered a pound of worm wood from the czech republic last summer, and he boiled it and mixed it into some absinthe that he had....needless to say the consequences were fucked.
we drank some of that shit at apex, then we went on to pop three yellow pacmans, and smoke a whole lot of weed....it was a fucked up night i tells yah. |

I drank some of that stuff unwittingly at a rave in Seattle
It was rough!! And well after that I don't really remember the rest of the rave, at the time I didn't acually realize how ripped I must've been. All I remember is being back at my friends house wondering why I didn't remember most of the dj sets! AGROout |

Absinthe: A bitter, emerald green herbal liqueur made with wormwood extract, which turns cloudy when mixed with water. A favorite drink of European artists and poets of the 19th century, who believed it stimulated creativity, ansinthe was also thought to foster madness in chronic abusers. (Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh allegedly cut off his ear during an absinthe binge.) Though illegal in North America absinthe can be purchased again in most European countries.
Yeah...it's more of a high than being drunk..... all due to the wormwood. |
