beat me to it :)
its debatable sometimes on if they look better though.

Personally I'm not a fan of the civic but that jdm type r integra they have at that place is brilliant. I love that front end.

no - i wouldnt exactly say this car is an economy car by any means

if you mean it has a 4 cyl motor then yeah, but it has a K20A2 motor, producing 200 hp.

as for the economy side heres the breakdown of that car posted:

K20A2 motor (rsx type S = $8000)
Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) civic type R suspension/brake conversion ($2500)
JDM civic type R front and rear bumper and spoiler ($2000)
JDM civic type R wheels - 5 lug pattern ($2200)
Spoon Sports CF hood ($1400)
Bride Zeta III kevlar racing seats ($1400 EACH)

i have no idea what stereo or internal engine mods they have done to that car... all i know is what i have seen when i have been at A-J racing

i agree that it looks like an odyssey - but its an impressive copy of a real CIVIC type R

Now I'm not going to question the motives behind the modification as I have spend insane amounts of $$$ on my sound system in my car, but all those extra mods to race in Vancouver?

You spend that cash when you buy the Civic and you would have a hella nicer ride to begin with I think. But WTF do I know?? I drive an SUV.

I get my need for speed on a race course on a mountain... to each their own I guess... but fast cars just don't do anything for me anymore.

Guess I'm getting old. :(

then you have never really DRIVEN a fast car

i guess it is to each their own. but until you race a car with some poop legally - where you dont have to get scared - your heart gets pumping like nothing youve ever felt before

after my first race i seriously was shaking like a fat person on a vibrating bed - or like JEFF TAYLOR on his first date

it was great

Fastest thing I ever could unleash was a Porsche 911 Turbo going over the Knight St. bridge to Westminster.

It was fun

I haven't truly raced anyone in a car but I have on a board down a hill.

Cracked 100kph on my race board, I had tears coming out of my eyes, snot out of my nose and gritting my teeth and drove the nose of my board into the snow knowing if it ever came out I'm fucked.

I think of it as playing chicken with Mother Nature except I don't have steel, airbags and a seat belt to 'protect' me. Not like at 160+kph they would do shit anyway.

After going like a bat out of hell with my body being the suspension and braking system fast cars just aren't as impressive anymore.

well you are lucky to have driven that porsche.... i would kill to drive one...

i see your point - being a rider myself - not a racer - a rider. it would be scary as hell over 100 klicks

but..... tell the truth...... do you get topless girls squatting beside your board with their asses hanging out?

didnt think so lol.... see there is something GREAT about imports

eew

i actually parked 3 cars away from that car at Sport Compact Nights in winnipeg when i showed my car there....

the paint is the only thing that is impressive on that car. yeah - its wild and crazy... but fuck its ugly as hell and to boot.... its not streetable

it is also a sponsorship car.... built by ALPINE... and it goes to show that when youre not paying for anytihng in the car - you can do wonders. the CTR in the first pic was not a sponsored car, but special hookups were definately used.
