It all depends who ya get when you go to Max's - I had both my belly button and my tounge done there and have had them for nearly eight years and not a problem in sight --
I found the people and the atmospere at Sacred Heart to be great - I go to the one on West 10th |

i wouldn't recommend max's or pauls peircing even though i've 4/7 items done there. price range usually becomes more expensive the lower the guage.
it'll probably cost you anywhere between 40-60$ anywhere you go. reccommended : sacred heart first on granville west coast peircing guy (new west - 6th ave) Elwood at Ace's Tattoo (new west -columbia st.) if he's still there - shitty overpriced tattoo work though. |

Wolf tattoo.
opening a shop just off Belmont and 6th in New West. Right beside tim hortons. Very Very clean and sterylized. i got 2 of my tattoos there, my manroe, a friends labrett, another friends betty button, tongue and another friends tattoo. he only charges $40... $15.00 for piercing and the rest is jewlery costs. i think renos are being done on the shop so he is doing it in the office of his appartment. (thats where we were done) apprenticed with bear at Dutchman...extremly talented man (42yrs) you have to page him with a voice to make an appointment. he will call you back, tell him Crystal recomended you (hummingbird ancle tattoo) and he might even discount you. |

i got my first 2 piercings done at first on granville and its definately a good environment to get a piercing.. they show you how they clean everything and even test you on your knowledge in how to clean your piercings. i got my last one done at max leather cuz it was clearly a lot cheaper than the rest of the places along granville. if you are confident on piercings, know how to clean/protect it, not allergic to diff metals.....go for it. its cheaper and they do it so fast you dont know what hit you.
and if you meant chin as in labret... along granville i think max is the only place that does a stud right away..instead of the hoop/ring. |

yea ok first off DONT EVEN THINK BOUT MAX...creepy ppl, over priced...and chick that said she got tha piercing for free and only paid for the jewelry...$50...the barbell/hoop does not cost fiddy bucks...it cost like 2 bucks to make...you so paid for the piercing...i got mine done at westcoast on granville and davies by tom and hes wikked....ive had everythin down there, hes a chill guy...had a couple beers and chilled...cost 30 bucks...but as well im sure he checked out my boobs...just go downtown guy and walk all along granville and shit...theres at least 5 or 6 on the main street...gon in all of them and learn for yourself...theres so many diff environments to pick from ~

he did my right nipple, it took twice as long as my other nipple to heal. And it's tilting to one side.... |

I think everyone has different thoughts about each piercing place.
The one we can all agree on is sacred heart. I've had piercings done at the davie one and the nelson one. I'll be going back to the nelson one sometime. As for Paul's Piercings...I've gotten piercings done at both the langley and the surrey locations. I have no complaints about that place, except that their piercing prices went up. It really depends on YOUR body and how YOUR body reacts to certain piercings. And how well you clean a piercing. Sure, it has a lot to do with the cleanliness of the piercing place, but if that was the case, the only piercing place that is health board approved is the WestCoast Piercing guy in Surrey. Now...I've heard a lot of bad things about Max's...but I've also heard some good things. I personally would rather go back to the places I've been to than go there for a piercing. -desiree |
