Cleaning non-standard pipes.

I've got a medium sized soapstine pipe. I love it to death, but I have had trouble cleaning it without destroying the inside to to the softness of the pipe material. Anyone out there got some tips for me?

sudsy ammonia. you can buy it at superstore.

dilute it about 50/50 and use VERY hot water to continually rinse. the more soaking and rinsing the better.

now depending on how clogged and how small the openings are...maybe a pin just to move the resin around, cuz once it's all soaked up it comes off no problem, but just needs any little touch to move it.
