filters
what do you guys use for filters?
i generally use bus transfers or the pack/cover of the rollies. i think i'm paranoid, but does anyone think or know if it affects the taste? sometimes i think it tastes different, and i get sketched out about the ink or any chemicals that might be on the filter. and any recommendations for alternate filters? |

it won't really affect my smoking habits per say, but the one thing i do notice is it often gets noticibly ranker when it gets remotely close to the filter. basically i want to find a filter that would not have this problem.
once again, this could just be stupid paranoia |

I absoluty hate useing the zags pack as filters. always got a shit load of useless busniess cards around. And i did a little experiment and i found that having filter paper vs no filter does indeed taste diff. but still i rather have the filter cause its easier to finish and i dont collect roaches. Although 1 roach blunt is on the way, got about 60 roaches from the past week something and gonna save it for a dope wake and bake session.

hmm...the hemp shop i buy my papers at has perforated business cards, so when you need a filter you just tear one off the card. pretty sweet idea actually.
a filter shouldn't make anything taste any different unless you smoke past it, which is a bad idea. |

sometime i'll bring some cotton in my weed bag n stick a bit of it in the filter coil.... it smokes alot smoother and tastes less harsh
and yeah i never thought about the filter changing the taste. i always put a filter in though. makes smoking alot easier and yeah i dont collect roaches so i like to smoke all of it. filter paper wise, the best is when you have alot of old ticket master stubs. they are perfect. but if i dont have that around, gum packets, old business cards, old ticket stubs, post card flyers... pretty much anything solid enough will do. i think the taste from the chemicals in the filter can only come into effect once the filter starts heating up. |
