Anyone else HATE the munchies?
Whats with smoking pot and then getting the munchies, I just dont get it, so weird. Its like you smoke a decent dized joint and the only thing you can think about is where the closest 711 is and how your going to get there, so you can grab your chips and your slurpee.
I've had many nights where me and some friends have been so blazed, we sat and ate and ate until we felt like we were going to puke, it was rather nasty. So whut up wif dat? |

here's somethin you should know though, smokin weed dehydrates you, so the munchies are actually only thirst and not usually hunger, unless you were hungry to begin with. but yeah, if you don't like gettin the munchies and having to eat lots just drink a bunch of water and you'll be good to go. |

munchies are great..
Right after i was done at the gym today, my brother and I blazed a nice blunt, and then went and munched out on like 8 plates at the local chinese buffet... the little asian woman seemed pretty pissed at 2 six and a half footers eating her outta business, lol... the munchies are great, u just gotta have the self control to eat the right shit :P

when i used to smoke pot a lot, i haaaaated the munchies.
i used to eat weird random things, like nachos that had been sitting on top of the fridge for a week or something. maaaaaan. my stomach thanks me for stopping the pot smoking. |

Best also to include vitamin C somewhere in there... just because, you can never have enough, right? Especially if you're messing with your brain. So an orange, or make your liquids orange juice or Five-Alive or something like that.
There was a really good article about proper munchies in a magazine I was reading a while ago. They mentioned a lot of stuff that's a lot better for you than your typical Lays + Barq's or whatever.... Was pretty good. Also check out the organic section of your local safeway (if such a section exists... they've got them in the newly rennovated ones). And granola. Get one of those big-ass bags of granola for $8 at SuperStore and get whatever extras you want bulk (I like chocolate chips and raisins myself). That's stupidly cost efficient and handles the munchies better than anything. Oh, and if you do do the granola route, MAKE SURE YOU GET LIQUIDS. Granola is pretty hefty nutritional content-wise.... and you may not necessarily feel so full even though you've had like 8 servings in 15 minutes. Then when you drink some water... you're all like "Ah, shit... I ate too much". If you're _really_ ripped, this could lead to vomitage! Another mention is that yeah... liquids of any kind (specifically water) are excellent for taking care of the munchies. Oh... Miss Vickie's finally came out with a flavour I like.... Black Pepper and Lime.... If you haven't tried it yet, go do so now tonight. |
