everyday pothead
well i've been smoking for 3 years now,
first time was in grade 8 smoking this piner joint my buddy has then 3 of us just toking on it at his porch like near end of the smoke my vision was so different, the only way to put it was like I was watching myself doing things, but i can control it anyway so couple months ago (3 actually) i blaze 4 joints a day for like 4 months straight. especially when i was in college, me and few classmates would just blaze after class usually 2/3 joints alltogether and that's how it got me smoking lots of free cigs so now i'd have to smoke cig couple times a week but for the past 2 months i went from smoking 4 j to not smoking for a week because i was getting job interview, my N license, my womanfriend, and shit so i have to focus, now i'm back to smoking 2 joints a day, one morning, then to work, one before i sleep, that's it i'm glad i cut down how much weed i smoke, because a joint is good enough to get me stoned, i think i have low toilerence and maybe because of my weight anyone a "everyday pothead/stoner"?? edit: keep on toking :D Last edited by PsyTrance4Life; Aug 11, 05 at 02:35 PM. |

i guess i'm one of those. but i'm trying to cut down now as of last week (although on friday and monday i got really fuckin stoned)
the good thing is according to many studies that have been conducted relating to how it can affect cognitive ability, they all pretty much say even though smoking pot will cause a diminished ability in certain cognitive tasks like memory recall and attention, abstinence for a certain while (really depending on magnitude of the subject's use of the drug) will completely reverse the effects. the suggested abstinence period according to one study i found was 4 weeks. withdrawl symptons as well as lowered cognitive abilities can last from a day to up to weeks, depending on how much the person has been smoking. so for now i guess it's fair to say smoking everyday will only really affect you today, tomorrow, and maybe the next few weeks when you decide it's time to stop... that is if your cognitive ability is essential to your everyday activities. |

i haven't been a daily smoker of weed, but definately a weekly one. it just can't be good for you to do it daily, because at night your body wouldn't go into the REM sleep patterns. and if you're doing that every day, you'd be really tired all the time. and your body just isn't designed for that much. so ya, i'll keep my blazing reserved for friday/saturday nights.

um yeah i guess i can consider my self as a daily toker... but i dont do much...prolly 2-3 times a week... i only usually do it is because i cant sleep... sounds like an excuse eh but seriously i cant sleep sumtimes so i just blaze to get me to sleep... and i also dont mind trippen out here and there lol... but yeah i dont abuse it and blaze like 4-5 sessions everyday like other stoners... i dont think i can get to that point and feel like a true junky... its cool to blaze here and there....
i wonder what the world would be like without weed.... imagine all the possible things that would happen if joints never " chilled " people out |

I smoke everyday, it helps and enables me to do all sorts of things easier or with a different edge. Ive been smokin since i was 13, im 20 now and still goin strong. There are times where id like to quit and think about what it would be like to freshen my brain back to the norm. And There are even times where i can skip a day or 2 without blazing. But i always comeback because for me the benefits still outweigh the negative effects
( respiratory irritation, chronic cough, short term memory loss, chemical dependance, mood swings, lathargy) which are effects that arent noticed all the time, some come and go. but the short term memory thing is farely constant, as is the feeling of chemical dependance. i would begin listing all the positive effects. but i dont wanna come across as some drug addict in denial, trying to justify his problem by passin off a list of things that seem nothin more than self defensive excuses . there are actually no positive effects of daily smoking. None. Zilch. Nadda. Your selfish, wanting-to-get-high-daily mind makes you believe this. Keep in mind I'm @ about weekly, or bi weekly smoking, moderate amounts of marijuana use is fiiiine and beneficial. You are tired/lifeless/got short term memory loss/chemically dependant/lathargic.. bottom line! Plain and Simple. Nothing you say will change my mind of these facts. This is based on years of experience as well. I changed my moderation to weekly, or bi weekly, couldn't be happier bro. Do yourself a favor, quit for a month min. 2 months max, *no time like the present* ! and write a journal entry of how much your life has changed .. then start kickin with yer bros on the weekends and strictly become a weekend smoker. Weed is a weekend drug anyway man. Think about it.. do you really need to be stoned allllllll week long.. no. You'll have more fun being energetic during the week, then puffin a J or 2 on the weekend with yer broskies! you actually get high again.. sorry I wasn't just preaching to you, evil duer, i was using you as an example to explain a very important lesson I have learned. |

ive been smoking off and on for about the last 3-4 years.
some months usually in the winter i tend to smoke a lot more, nothing over the top just a doobie or two if im with some friends. i use it for my personal use, not to 'get fucked up' all the time, i just find it calms me down, takes some stress of my shoulder and its relaxing. im trying to find a more healither way to smoke, so ive been thinking about getting a vaporizer. i find if you smoke it out of a glass water bong, it feels a little less harsh on the lungs compared to smoking a rolled joint. the other day i smoked from my buddies vaporizer and it felt a lot smoother. the high was completely different, and i didnt seem to munch out. does anyone reccomend the vaporizer? i was thinking about getting one for a few reasons. 1. suppose to be the cleanest way to smoke weed. 2. it doesnt stink up my room. (i was surprised how when we blazed with it in my room, how it didnt stink whatsoever) 3. i dont have to roll a joint everytime i would like to smoke. |

yeah I just saw one on the net, my oh my its funny to see how much they ahve changed since the last time i saw one. my friend bought his about a year and a half ago, i think he paid like $120 for his, and it looks like a little toy compared to the fancy tech. ones now.

i found when blazing with a vaporizer, it tasted a LOT different, and the high was way different. it was a mellow high, but with like little to no burnout, no red eyes, and i didnt seem to munch out as harsh which i like.
and the main feature, i can smoke in my room, without my brother complaining all the time heh. |
