hmmm... start a conversation about kissing and talk about things you don't like, get him to tell you what he doesn't like too so he doesn't think you're saying anything bad about him specifically, cuz you don't want to hurt his feelings, but maybe he'll remember what you don't like and get the point.
i don't know, it's kinda hard to tell someone that they are not good at kissing.... and awkward.

my friend stacey and i were walking around town one day and we got on the conversation about how it's tough asking the person you're with if you're a good kisser or not, and having them be honest. so we decided to kiss each other and find out... well she was good and i was horrid, so she gave me quick lessons and whipped me into shape :p

long story short, i haven't had any complaints since and am very thankful for her honesty, so yeah, be honest withhim :) you owe it to him and of course to youself :)
