WTB: Harddrive (100GB+)

Looking to buy a new harddrive.

New or Used, doesnt matter. But should still be in decent condition.

Looking for 100GB or more. But wont turn away smaller ones depending on what they are and depending on the asking prices.

Reply or PM me!

harddrives are fucking cheeeeep now. You should be able to get a 200gig 2.5" drive for around $100 or, if you want a larger drive, you can get $300 for around $150.

Well, I was trying to keep it under $100 if I could. I really need a new harddrive as mine is currently full. So far the best I can find is an 80G for $75. Anything over 100G is over $100.

Also, Im a nub when it comes to HDs. I only know space, I dont know what 2.5' or if 7200 RPM is good or not.

Not too bad if you ask me. Otherwise, NCIX would be a good idea... but you should know what you want. Those guys are pretty bad with customers [some got better, depends on the store too.]

I generally stay away from Maxtor. Seagates haven't really failed on me yet.

2.5" is laptop size, they will be more expensive. Useful in external housing because they won't need a power supply. 7200 RPM means speed, higher is better. Check if you need SATA or IDE ATA.

End of HDD primer =)
