help. i have tables but NOOOO bloody mixer. i was saving up so i can just get a 3002X brand new but i'm in desperate need of something that works so i can spin until i do. lemme know what you got. any POS will do. if you have something more expensive list it anyway, cuz i might be able to pull some cash outta thin air ( damn credit cards )
Akeel, that's cool of ya, but i went broke buyin the decks new. that used deal i was tellin you about didn't end up happening. |

chris dont rush and get a shitty mixer
save up the cash and get a good one that will actually do the job right. the first mixer you have will DEFINETLY have a big effect on your learning phase. i personally recommend the vestax pcv series. its cheaper but DEFINETLY does the job in terms of mixing.... you cant scarch on em but if you want a mixer that will train your ear for mixing, then the vestax pcv's will do a better job. and another thing i'd like to point out to anyone whos starting out, if you cant beatmatch or mix after 6 months with a vestax pcv, then sorry you will never be able to do it so stop wasting your time. |

really lauren??? holy shit. i'm calling u right now. it would be for just a couple of days, but u know how it is. i just finished coming back from seattle with new rekkids and i can't play em right now :(
yeah. k guys. i'm borrowing money of my mom to get a decent mixer. i'm lookin at gettin either the stanton rm-3s or a vestax pcv-175. but they both don't look good for scratching. it could be that i don't know shit all bout what a scratchin mixer should be. mixing is obviously the #1 feature i want my mixer to be meant for but i'd like to scratch(or learn to scratch i should say) on it too. I really don't wanna end up upgrading later on, or aleast for a couple of years. i'm looking at spending like 400-450 max. lemme know u're suggestions. |

for that much money you wont be able to to get either of those mixers new
and to add to that you would probably only be able to afford a shitty scratch mixer... and since you dont seem to know a scratch mixer has a different curve on the crossfader.... you can find mixers with just a scratch fader on it but they SUCK for mixing and i really mean it. fuckin terrible. your best bet is to save up at least 8 bills and get a mixer with an adjustable crossfader... if you dont know what that is i suggest you do your research a lil more before making the purchase. |

well leave the bargaining up to me, i have my ways. i'm gettin it in the us. it's only 279 US for either the stanton or the vestax. no shipping charge , and i've found a way around customs. so now that u know this. which one should i get, or should i be looking for something else?

well if you wanna scratch then neither of those since you need an adjustable crossfader or a scratch fader
i have the pvc 175 and it does the job since scratching isnt something i'm planning on learning just yet but chris, i'm being a hardass right now because with dj equipment and the ridiculous prices that come along with it, you need to know your shit and know what different specs and feature do. you obviously dont have much knowledge on it so you're better off chillin out and finding out what you really need other than rushing yourself and getting any ol mixer out there that might of been beaten the shit out of who knows. but if you dont care about what i'm saying then i dont care either cuz its your money *shrugs* |

ahh fuck, that's rugged. hmmm. to scratch or not to scratch. i just talked to the guys down there at platinum. 279 is the internet price. if u go down u'reself. it;s 249 US and i'm getting a 10% discount on top of that. sheeeeiiit. i think i might just get this and say fuck it to scratching. i suck reallllly fuckin bad anyways

do whatever you want but i'll tell you this. i was pissed off i didnt get an adjustable fader after i got the 175
but the 175 is awesome for mixing... i havent used any other mixer thats better for mixing (probably cuz i'm used to this one.. DUHHH :tounge1: ) |

blah look around man
for that much money youLL really need to look around since you probably wont be able to get a new one but i think you should just save up a lil more money then go for it... theres always the pmc 05 but the eqs are VERY cramped together and its only a 2 band which kinda sucks.... but it does do the job for the price you're paying for it... and it has an adjustable fader |
