2+ years, Corporate Professional Receptionist

Before posting any further details, please only SERIOUS inquiries need apply.

My office here is looking for a receptionist/administrative assistant. This is definitely a corporate environment that is very professional -- not quite as bad a law firm but close enough!

As your primary responsibility will be with the phones, I should tell you we have 40 phone lines. Don't let that scare you as we do have five lines of business in our office and thus multiple lines each. To further, we have a Toshiba phone system which I believe is similar to that of a Meridian.

Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a corporate and professional environment in a similar capacity.
- experience in working reception at companies with a variety of phone lines IE: several in-coming calls at once, transferring, etc...
- obviously EXCELLENT communication skills both written and verbal.
- and a MUST HAVE is definitely going to be the ability to multi-task and have a proven track record of doing so.

This is a full time position... our office hours do vary however for the most part, we are open 8AM through 6PM Monday to Friday. (You wouldn't be working those exact hours)... We are not open on the weekend however sometimes OT will be required based on workload.

Again, only serious inquiries need apply via a PM to me or reply here with your email and I will contact you.

Cheers.

Actually you are wrong...

Because we have 40 lines, depending on which line of business the caller is calling, you would have to answer the phone appropriately IE: if someone dialed the office number for Robert Half Technology, then the receptionist would answer the phone, "Good morning/afternoon, Robert Half Technology how may I direct your call?" :c-tard:

I should further add that you must have competency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook as that is our general office suite used here in the office.

A NOTE: candidates will be formally tested on these applications and also issued a typing speed test as well.

That they can... We are an equal opportunity employer and thus could care less about gender.

Myra - I sent you an email.

Cheers.

It's really old fashioned...

on the other hand,
When I was doing reception work at a company that had international franchises for junk removal, I dealt with a lot of men in an unglamorous industry..to them, they didn't want to speak with me regarding specifics of what the company dealt with because when they heard a female voice, they didn't think I had a clue (oh teehee! what's drywall!) ...the thing is, from my experience working there, I probably knew more than a lot of the clients I had to deal with...heh...trust me, people feel equally as secure when hearing a male voice as well.
