chances are

if they have a ps2 online adapter.. they probably use it a lot

and with more and more games comming out that support online play (gt4 WEEEE) they're not going to get rid of it anytime soon.

I think i might be able to get it a bit cheaper. Give me your phone # and I'll leave you a msg tomorrow morning at 11 am.

there is tons of excellent online games for ps2

Champions of Norrath just came out and its stellar

downloadable weapons, levels. That game is going to do so well. Beats the shit out of Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance II

it was just my personal opinion. To me its not worth it yet. I know there are alot of good games for online play now but to me its not the rite time yet.
