must be matching m3d's or mk5's in as good of condition as my numarks...

reason for trading?

practicality, i plan on taking my decks out of my room to shows around town and have other people play on them as well, and there are soome people in this city that dont belive in anything other then techs

i beg to differ, my numarks are by far beter then techs, but it comes down to practicality

yeah and then they lost the pattent to their high tourque mechanism, and now companies like american audio, and stanton are making turntables that are beter then techs

i love my numarks it would just be more practical to have techs, even tho i consider it a downgrade on my end

only reason why tech's are/were the "industry standard" is because they created the direct drive motor technology and patented it for like 30 years back in the 70's... this meant that for 30 years since the creation of the tech1200's the only turntable you could buy with a direct drive motor was a technics one! now that the patent has expired you have other companies making turntables with the direct drive motor (ie. numark, vestax, stanton, etc) that are just as good, if not better, than tech12s

u also forget that the Techs have proven long life and reliability.

but i do agree the Numark TTX have more features and are now even more rubust in build quality than the techs. mroe features too .. the only thing i dont like about the numarks is their carts and there is no strobe illimunator.

i found its 800 american brand new, so what year did you buy them, how often do you use them and condition would you say there in, and do you travel with them or are they just your practice home decks. ill make you an offer after i know this

they are about 8 monthes old, i use them as much as i can (which isnt very much due to school) they are in EXCELENT condition, i have never traveled with them, i have never even moved them around my house...
if you take the platter off, they still have that new deck smell
i even still have the posters that came in the box!

and i may sell my mixer along with... its a vestax pcv 275, its the same age, and babied!!

also the decks and mixer have never been expesed to smoke, as my house is a non smoking house

$700-800 i am willing to pay, as much as id like to make an offer on your mixer i dont think id be able to afford it, i love that style mixer though i had the stanton version which sucked but i liked the general idea.
