i need a mixer, (pretty soon) about $500 or less, pretty good quality, and i want to be able to record straight to my computer (if that's possible)

dm2002x for 300 bux

totally worth it, you can plug in any mixer to your computer, all you need is the line in cord which you can buy at radioshack for 3 bux.

imo, they are worth it if you can get one for like $150 or so.

well, they do have some good features for a low price, but the low price is there for a reason.

I had one that was less than a year old, and one of the switches on it was fucked, and it was starting to develop some bleeding problems. They are NOT built to last. If you have $500, I say go pick up a Vestax PMC170 new. They are layed out much the same as the 2002, but they are much better quality. Stanton makes a good quality 'euro' style mixer (like the pmc170) as well.

I use a stanton Rm-3

It's great, and you could plug it into your comp too. As well as a nice effects trn and 9 channels. 3 band kills, 2 mics

currently though, i am using a borrowed dm2002x. wAH! fun!

although i like the rm-3 better... for features, however, i like the feel of the dm2002 a bit more
